Resep Nasi Liwet Semarang

Ingredient:



- 2 cups of rice
- 2 cups of coconut milk
- 2 cups of water
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 3 shallots, chopped
- 2 red chillies, sliced
- 1 lemongrass stalk, bruised
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 200 gr of chicken, diced
- 200 gr of shrimp, peeled
- 100 gr of green beans, cut in half
- 100 gr of carrots, sliced
- 100 gr of cabbage, sliced
- 100 gr of bean sprouts
- 1 lime, cut into wedges


Instructions:



1. Rinse the rice and put it in a pot with coconut milk, water, bay leaves, garlic, shallots, red chillies, lemongrass, salt, and sugar. Stir well.
2. Cook the rice over medium heat until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is cooked.
3. In a wok, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and shrimp, stir-fry until the chicken is cooked and the shrimp turns pink.
4. Add the green beans, carrots, and cabbage. Stir-fry for a few minutes until they are cooked.
5. Add the bean sprouts and stir-fry for another minute.
6. Serve the rice on a plate and top with the stir-fry vegetables and meat.
7. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
